01 · Why RocketHour
Why RocketHour?
RocketHour is a broad base technical class for young students. In a technologically forward world, younger students are being left behind. Too often their interaction with the digital world is limited to passive screen time on a tablet.
We want to rectify that by giving them real experience with digital tools, practice typing and navigating a desktop environment, encouraging creativity and making rather than consuming.
RocketHour is passionate about the future of our students, where we do everything we can to give them the technical skills that will make a difference.

02 · The class
What is RocketHour
RocketHour is a weekly online class for students aged 7 to 15. Classes are in small groups of three to seven students and cover a broad base.
We teach our own in-house developed curriculum. It covers foundational computer fluency, creativity in the digital space and coding logic. The curriculum uses these foundations to explore larger ideas, such as cryptography and peer-to-peer connections, in a way students can understand.
Students are streamed into tracks that best suit their ability and age.

03 · The tutor
What does a RocketHour tutor look like?
RocketHour tutors are lively, passionate about tech, empowering the youth and drawing out the full potential of our students. We facilitate our classes in a way that creates a safe and positive environment for students to ask questions, collaborate and learn.
Ultimately we want to see our students grow from passive consumers of technology to young adults who understand how to make technology work for them.

- Training consists of participation in three lessons across three days, two hours of content learning and one hour of meeting with a mentor.

RocketHour is so much better than we could ever have imagined that it's almost impossible to describe our experience. As a technically literate grandfather, it has been an absolute delight to watch my granddaughter transform from curious beginner to accomplished young programmer in just a few short months.

Absolutely excellent! I was a little afraid of it being fully online and not face-to-face per se, but boy oh boy is my 12yr old Son LOVING it! My Son's confidence has increased and I quote "Every week the lesson is better than the week before". The teachers are patient and informative with great teaching techniques.

This is the first extramural in the history of having kids do extramurals where I feel included. I am kept up to date, get review of the lesson after each session, I live for that feedback. They bent backwards to ensure my son doesn't miss a lesson... incredible!!

How do you show gratitude to a team that goes the extra mile & more to accommodate your autistic child. Growing & shaping their minds for the future & never giving up on motivating them in the best way possible. We are blessed to have them in our lives.

Excellent online coding tutoring. I have used another company for my son in the past and RocketHour far outshines them. My son thoroughly enjoys his classes as well as the assignments. RocketHour is super professional with excellent communication and feedback. I highly recommend them.

This is so far the best academic gift I have given to my son. The staff is professional and friendly. My son looks forward to all his lessons since he started and wishes they were done on a daily basis. Am so happy 😊
